Another Good News From Stamford Bridge As £28m Deal Will Be Completed By Chelsea

Chelsea fans with high hopes of seeing Lewis Hall back at the club next summer will be disappointed by the news coming from the Daily Telegraph’s North East football correspondent, Mike McGrath.

He reports today that the left back is staying with the Magpies after his loan ends, despite having failed to make much of an impact on the first team.

Even a serious injury crisis and a fatiguing European campaign haven’t helped the 19 year old force his way into Eddie Howe’s plans, and he must be wondering what he’s got to do to earn a starting spot somewhere after leaving Chelsea in similar circumstances.

The £28m option to buy him has looked in doubt at times given how little he’s been used, but McGrath says it’s a done deal, and that the Magpies are keen to sign him despite not having used him much.

It looks like another brilliant Cobham talent is gone before we ever saw his potential.
