And if reports are anything to go by, then Chelsea football club have been linked with a transfer move for experienced Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries when the window opens.
The 27-year-old Netherlands International, who signed up for Inter Milan after departing PSV back in 2021 has proven to be an important member of the first-team squad in recent seasons.
The experienced right-back was hugely involved for Inter Milan during the 2022/2023 season where he scored two goals and created seven assists in 51 appearances in all competitions.
Denzel Dumfries has also continued in his impressive form for Inter Milan so far this ongoing season, scoring two goals and creating four assists in 13 appearances in all competitions.
His excellent performances in that right-back role has caught the attention of Chelsea football club and according to reports from Daily Mail, the Blues are keen on signing him next year.
The reports further claimed that Serie a side Inter Milan are very much aware of Chelsea's interest in Denzel Dumfries and have now set an asking price of £43million on him.
It is believed that Inter Milan are interested in offloading Denzel Dumfries and have now told Chelsea to pay £43million transfer fee in order to sanction a move for the defender.
But then, it remains to be seen if Chelsea football club will do the needful and submit the £43million fee to sign Denzel Dumfries on a permanent deal from Inter Milan next year.
